During the L.D.T.C. October 2019 meeting, we heard from a panel of experts about Medicare for All, including detailed information about the current federal and state bills that have been introduced. Our members of the panel were:

  • Lawrence Pareles - A recently retired Cardiologist at Hartford Hospital, he worked in a large, private practice multi-speciality group delivering cardiac care in a large, urban hospital. Larry is a strong believer in single payer universal healthcare for everyone in America.

  • Kelley Johnson - A social justice advocate for many years, Kelley is a member of and congressional outreach coordinator for Progressive Democrats of America, Kelley has maintained contact with his federal and state representatives on a regular basis, urging them to seek justice for many of the most troubling issues facing our region and the country.
